Now, we talk about developing the correct picking techniques. But check this video out. The guitarist is Jim Mullen. He’s HOT. But his picking defies conventional wisdom. He uses his thumb and plays all down strokes. Very impressive. And I really like his sound, phrasing and note choices too.
